Our Holiday Concert
The North Shore Chorale will be performing future concerts annually in the Boston north shore area. Our first performance is a holiday concert scheduled for Sunday, December 15, 2019, at 4:00 pm at St. John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch St. in Beverly, MA.
The program ends at 5:20 pm.
This program will be the most unique holiday choral concert on the north shore. It presents a distinctive variety of inspirational music---beautiful classical music as well as familiar popular music. It also has varied sizes and types of performing groups--large chorus, chamber chorus, all male ensemble and vocal solos--as well as instrumental accompaniments and solos by pianist Paul Carlson and French Horn soloists Alyssa Daly and Nancy Hudgins.
The program includes the following works:
Alleluia, from "The Place of the Blest" by Randall Thompson
Bright is the Star of Bethlehem, by Michael Haydn
The Bells Are Ringing, by Edvard Grieg
plus several familiar holiday pieces such as
Deck the Hall, Winter Wonderland and Ding Dong Merrily on High
Tickets are available at the door: Adults $10 Seniors & Students $7
There is ample free parking in the church parking lot.

Nancy Hudgins Alyssa Daly
The featured French Horn soloists for our Dec. 15 concert
Nancy Hudgins holds a Master of Music Degree in French Horn Performance from Boston University. She has performed with numerous Boston area orchestras and ensembles including Boston Ballet and Boston Lyric Opera. Currently a member of the Orchestra of Indian Hill and the Boston Landmark Orchestra, she has also performed in orchestras for star act concerts including Luciano Pavoratti and Josh Grobin.
Alyssa Daly holds a Master of Music Degree in French Horn Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. She is an active freelance performer in Boston theaters and orchestras. She performed in the US and Canada with the Broadway touring production of Les Miserables, and performed in the band for Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Emerson Colonial Theater in Boston.
Pianist Paul Carlson, accompanist for the North Shore Chorale, holds a Doctorate Degree in Piano Performance from Boston University. He has performed widely in the Boston area in chamber music ensembles, solo recital programs and as soloist with several regional orchestras. Mr. Carlson is featured as soloist in a CD album titled The Piano Music of Charles Ives and Ruth Crawford Seeger released in 2012 by Aliqot Recordings.
